Maintenance of gyms and building new ones are the most important demands of the participants in the Hama Sports Conference

The interventions of the members of the annual conference of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch in Hama, which was held today, focused on the need to expedite the maintenance and restoration of the current gyms, building new ones, and supporting the clubs to improve their sports reality.

The members of the conference demanded to change the grassy playing field and replace it with the industrial one, to serve the Masyaf area with a sports facility that includes halls and playgrounds, and to create a chess training center in the Tal Al-Tut Club.

The head of the General Sports Federation, Firas Maalla, indicated that Hama is one of the athletically advanced governorates, and during the coming period work will be done to improve the reality of sports facilities in it, including the Salamia Hall, for which an amount of one billion Syrian pounds has been allocated to complete its maintenance and put it into service next year.

Maalla indicated that the Federation is working to provide the governorate's teams with the necessary sports equipment to ensure the continuity of their work, and that coordination is continuing with the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment to rehabilitate and build the headquarters of the destroyed and damaged clubs as a result of terrorist attacks.

For his part, the head of the Executive Committee of the branch of the Sports Federation in Hama, Abdul Razzaq Zaitoun, pointed out that Hama occupies an important position in the Syrian sport through its many 52 clubs and teams, which achieved outstanding results this year, winning 240 medals, including 99 gold in various championships of the Republic.

Zaytoun indicated that during the current year, the municipal stadium in Hama was illuminated, a hotel was equipped for athletes in Al-Basel Sports City, the maintenance of the training ground, and the hosting of many championships of the republic in various sports, in addition to organizing training courses for referees and coaches, pointing out that a committee was formed to review the investment file for the clubs.
