The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and Watan Al-Youm Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of exchanging experiences and information to serve the documentation of rural and handicraft products and Syrian food.
The memorandum stipulated the exchange of experiences, technical advice, information, activities and products between the Ministry and the Foundation to enable the documentation and development work with the aim of establishing the Syrian product in Syria and the world, and the exchange of experience in qualification and training programs and the application of theoretical aspects to practical activities.
In a statement to reporters, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Watan Document Foundation, indicated that the work of rural women's development and rural family development projects intersects with the work of the (Watan Document), which works on documenting professions, foods and the history of these professions, to bring the historical and civilization richness of Syria to all parts of the world. This documentation represents A Syrian identity and an element of strength for it and an important aspect of the reconstruction of Syria.
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Muhammad Hassan Qatana, explained to reporters that the signing of the memorandum enhances the ministry’s work and activity in rural women’s family projects and rural development, as work is being done to restore heritage professions and rural industries that are close to extinction, revitalize and resettle them in the Syrian countryside by raising the added value of rural products He indicated that centers are provided as production units for manufacturing and central markets at the city level to market the product that expresses the identity of Syria.
