The international conference on Libya, which was held on November 12 in Paris, called for the holding of “
inclusive
” and “
credible
” elections.
She also threatened with sanctions all those who could obstruct the smooth running of the electoral process.
Seif Al-Islam, the son of ex-dictator Gaddafi, wanted by the International Criminal Court for “
crimes against humanity
”, registered his candidacy for the presidential election on Sunday.

The conference also endorsed the Libyan plan for the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries.
Turkey and Russia must withdraw from the country "
without delay
" their mercenaries, whose presence "
threatens the stability and security of the country and the region
" warned Emmanuel Macron.
A first step has been taken with the announced withdrawal of 300 mercenaries on the side of Marshal Haftar, the strong man of eastern Libya.
But Ankara has already announced that Turkish military power is a "force for stability" in Libya.
