A 30-year-old man was shot dead today (Sunday) on Gaster Street in Jerusalem, near the Orient Hotel.

MDA staff provided him with medical treatment on the spot and evacuated him during resuscitation operations to Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city, where he was pronounced dead. Another man was moderately injured by gunfire in the same incident

One wounded man arrived without a pulse after several resuscitation attempts in the field.

Despite attempts at resuscitation and urgent surgery, Justice Gate teams were forced to determine his death.


"The second gunman, in a stable state of consciousness, is undergoing a series of imaging tests," the hospital said.
