Winter is coming.
Snow is expected to fall throughout Bavaria in November.
A weather expert gives a surprising outlook - meanwhile the DWD warns.
Munich - It's getting cold in the Free State.
Currently, a "high pressure bridge" still dominates the weather * and ensures mild air currents that flow to Bavaria, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in its forecast.
On Saturday, however, the high pressure influence * is over.
Bavaria is crossed by a weak cold front.
The real onset of winter should come next week, as meteorologist Jan Schenk from
The Weather Channel
predicts.

Weather in Bavaria: onset of winter with 20 centimeters of fresh snow is coming soon
"In November, cold and snow * can be expected in almost all of Germany," says Schenk in a video.
On the
weather.com
weather map
you can see that the whole of Bavaria will be covered by a white layer of snow.
Even in Franconia, white flakes are said to fall from the sky at the end of November.
Up to 20 centimeters of fresh snow are then even possible on the Alps.
For Munich * and the region, the map shows five centimeters.
The weather expert explains that five large global models would support this thesis.
The prognosis is therefore "very likely".
The cold snap would come around November 20th.
"Ice-cold air from the north then comes to us," says Schenk.
"We have to assume that then really snow will come."
