You promised passion, in the end we got a little more boredom | Israel today

While "Wedding at First Sight" is rushing to the end, the promos continue to promise without sustaining and the couples continue to produce exactly the same interaction

First of all - opens with an apology.

True, we are already nearing the end of the season, just moments before the "fateful decisions", and yes, this column focuses on the analysis and critique (OK, also mockingly) of the current season of "Wedding at First Sight".

The idea here is to hunt down details, big and small, aim a spotlight at them and consistently insist on how dumb everything is, in fact.

But somehow, a strange detail, utterly meaningless but puzzling, has eluded us all this time. Not something that changes worlds, there is no need to get too excited, and yet - at the level of curiosity this is the default of the author of this column. In other words: it is not really clear how we escaped the fact that for 42 days (minus a lukewarm vacation in the Seychelles), dream under one roof (and pay attention to the rhyme): Shani, Danny and the dog Sonny. This is really a title for a kids story! Isn't rhyme a guarantee for adjustment? The truth is no. But this is, we got it out, we can move on.

At this point in the season we already realized that the promos promise us a lot but keep very little, and so it was in the case of the trailers for last night's episode (Saturday). We were promised Shai and Hadas' rapprochement, they even said "it was worth the wait". Is Shai going to make a move, bring a sudden sprint here and also bypass the promising ones in pairs towards the finish line and a relationship with Hadas that he so longs for? After an entire season of - let's call the boy by his name - complete rejection and public humiliation, will Hadas change her mind and decide that Shai is the man of her life?

well no.

In a big way Hadas invited a masseuse home because the production told her to do something, anything, that would make her look less cold, and the Platonic couple held hands for a few seconds.

"It fills me with happiness," Shay says, smiling from ear to ear and cheering again for Hadas, because he really hasn't done it in about three minutes.

"Myrtle, you're amazing," he says.

There is no doubt that the finger game from the previous episode opened up the menacing desire to erupt between the two, and right now Shai is acting as if he has received a marriage proposal and not, say, the entry of a stranger into his home who has come to knead fat deposits.

At the end of the episode, when they arrive at the hotel in what the show's producer defines as a "romantic vacation," they will even share one bed for the first time this season.

Shay finds himself very upset by this whole story, and completely ignores the fact that Hadas completely took down a few drinks when she found out it was a double bed, cursing herself for not bringing a chainsaw for vacation, in case she had to saw a tree for two.

Meanwhile, Mano finds himself off his porch that it is raining. What will he do? Where could he have his lungs in such harsh weather conditions? Inside the house, it's where, but will blow the smoke out, in case you were wondering. Note that he and Nitzan are not really sure where the exit door from Mano's house is, after sitting on the porch for 40 days, and they do not quite remember how to deal with non-tobacco objects and rolling papers. At the end they remember how to do it, get on Ayalon and sing "On the Coast Road" by Static and Ben El.

Things are a little less positive in the Danny, Shani and Sonny segment, which once again finds itself dragged into its owner's couple dramas. Shani is still nervous about the comparison Danny made in the last episode between their relationship and that of Liron and Einat, and goes out to get some steam. "Who is this Tel Aviv scratch?" Shani says, venting frustration for an entire month (and three hours she did not burn anything). At the end she comes to her senses and the two also go on a romantic vacation. There, just like the other contestants of the season, they turn to alcohol as soon as they arrive to watch their wedding album, as if everything did not happen about five weeks ago.

But the couple, and perhaps this is a slightly exaggerated definition at the moment, who as usual steal the show are Karin and Itamar. Look, already at the start of this season there were those who said - and knowledgeable sources confirmed - that these two did not succeed in the show. Given all the network drama created following what is basically a television recording of a not entirely authentic relationship, one can already conclude that the rumors were true. But on the way to the decision we are forced to watch them twisting from each other's presence, trying to synchronize for moments, even though in practice these are different people with completely different temperaments from each other.

Let go of all the “you were an amazing partner” paragons they throw at each other.

Karin is more closed by nature.

Itamar, on the other hand, is the life of any party where a song of hope is played.

There is not even an intention here to be funny.

These two have no reason to spend time together, and right now, after a whole season of impersonation, they are not even ready to pretend anymore.

Itamar is discouraged by the fact that his partner is cramped and not giving himself over to a life like his, while Karin is unable to share a space with a block of positive energies that she survives to go down to training and prepare food.

He's a dog, she's a cat, these two are just not supposed to be together.

That is, there is no punch.

Oh yes.

Ido Rosenblum came back to us from nowhere and narrated a small part of the episode as if he had been here all this time and it is not strange at all.

At least he knows how to maintain a relationship.

Liron and Einat were also here, but as usual did not provide such interesting news.

And maybe that's actually the secret of Khatunami's magic?

Boring each other (and on the way us too), as in a healthy and long-lasting relationship?

If so, these are currently the poster children of the model.

Liron is very excited to watch the wedding album and Einat says that since they are together she has been smiling more with her teeth.

For health, cute, but it's not prime time stuff.
