But given the dramatic situation, they may be necessary regionally for those who have not been vaccinated, ”said the 52-year-old in the newspapers of the Funke media group on Sunday.
He also considers compulsory vaccination for certain professional groups to be sensible.
Habeck also spoke out in favor of strict 2G rules.
2G means that only those who have been vaccinated and recovered have access to restaurants and events, for example.
"Increasing security to 2G plus, i.e. testing vaccinated people, is the next logical step as soon as the test centers open again across the board," added Habeck.
3G measures at the workplace and increased use of the home office are also urgently required.
The Green politician also focused on train travelers - and called for the 3G regulation to be introduced there.

"We want a legally secure follow-up solution in which Parliament, as the democratic sovereign, makes the essential decisions."
Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU), for example, recently shot hard at the traffic light parties and described their policies as "extremely dangerous" in view of the current Corona situation.
