", the painter had not yet been heard by the magistrates in charge of the case. During this interrogation, he was questioned at length about his relationship with his wife and children. Cédric Jubillar admitted having had derogatory remarks towards her, justified by a character trait:
“I do not have a
strong
language like some people (sic) or like you very high up and who have polite terms. I have more disagreeable and meaner terms.
"He also assumes to have made threatening statements, for example by sending this disturbing message to his mother:"
I am going to kill her, I am going to bury her, no one will find her.
".
But he blames his words for his exasperation at the time:
“I was angry, I was letting off steam.
