Nuremberg - Nuremberg is possibly cleaner than some people think.

During their “Kehrd ward” campaign at the end of October, members of the Nuremberg Ladies' Circle * and the Nuremberg Round Table collected rubbish with the support of the Nuremberg Public Space Service (Sör).

The group of ten with children chose Marienbergpark for this.

As the city of Nuremberg writes in a press release, the freshly mown meadows made it almost difficult for the helpers to find large amounts of rubbish.

“We all agree that it's great that we found surprisingly little rubbish.

Thanks to Sör and everyone who helps to keep our city clean, ”said Sonja Schneider, President of the Ladies' Circle Nuremberg.

Nuremberg: “Kehrd ward” is not a one-off event

Not only for once did it say “Kährd will”.

The campaign sponsored by Sör takes place again and again.

The aim is to be active together, to do something good for nature and to beautify the environment.

Many companies, school classes, youth groups or clubs have already carried out an action.

In doing so, they collect the rubbish that other citizens carelessly throw away in residential areas or green spaces.

For the campaign, Sör provides the helpers with gloves, safety vests and garbage bags.

In addition, the service company will then properly dispose of the garbage collected.

Anyone interested can register online or call the service phone at (0911) 2 31 76 37.
