The death toll from yesterday's terrorist attack on a police station in northern Burkina Faso has risen to 32.
Reuters quoted the government as saying that unidentified gunmen attacked a police station near a gold mine in Inata, in the north of the country, yesterday evening, killing 32 people, including 28 members of the military police, in addition to four civilians.
President Roc Kabore announced three days of mourning for the victims of the attack.
A previous toll had indicated that 20 military policemen had been killed.
Yesterday's attack came two days after another in which seven policemen were killed in a border area with Niger and Mali.
