The Autumn Festival of "Benevolence of Great Love" was held last Saturday (13th). Four organ donors attended the ceremony on the same day. They were all grateful to the donor's legacy and wished the donor's family a happy life.
The convener, Dr. Zhou Jiahuan, pointed out that since the establishment of the "Benefactor of the Great Love" Memorial Garden in 2017, there have been 178 organ donors in Hong Kong, and 57 have agreed to rest in the Garden of Remembrance. Their organs have been transplanted in more than one hundred and two hundred. In a patient, the recipient’s life is out of danger.
Zhou Jiahuan said that recently an organ transplant survivor was selected as an outstanding volunteer in Hong Kong, and there are still many recipients in the community who are shining and shining because of the great love of the donors.
