Adele might be the queen of telling the truth to our broken hearts, but it was her role in bringing two people together that stole the show during its Sunday night CBS special.

Here's what happened: A man reached out to what he thought was a show - but it was actually a "bogus show," Adele said - to help him propose to his girlfriend of seven years.

Adele's primetime special included a marriage proposal.

They spent the day having a picnic in the area near Adele's concert and the evening would culminate with a proposal.

The plan worked, with adorable results.

"If they make noise, I'll kill them," Adele told the crowd, which included celebrities like Lizzo and Melissa McCarthy.

When the noise-canceling headphones and blindfold were removed, the woman was stunned.

"Is this real?" He asked.

"Who are these people?".

The man made the proposal, she accepted, and Adele stepped out of the shadows before beginning to sing "Make You Feel My Love."

"He's crying non-stop," Adele said at one point in the middle of the song.

Oh, your proposal sounds nice… But let me tell you about the time my husband proposed to me at #ADELE One Night Only in front of the biggest stars in the world.

Who can blame her, of course?

The timing was a bit ironic, as the singer is promoting "30," which many have called the singer's "divorce album."

But if something was clear during her interview with Oprah Winfrey during the two-hour show, the album could be considered as one about bonding, only that in her case, she is bonding with her happier self.

And doing so required many difficult decisions.

She told Winfrey about her current relationship with sports agent Rich Paul - she said it's the first time she's been in a relationship where she "loves myself and is open to loving and being loved by someone else."
