The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, and Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marar, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, reviewed the relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them.
During the meeting today, on the sidelines of Syria's National Day activities at Expo Dubai 2020, Minister Al-Khalil congratulated the United Arab Emirates on its success in organizing the exhibition, pointing to the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries and the importance of developing them in various fields.
In turn, the Emirati minister praised the Syrian presence, which reflects Syria's rich historical and civilizational heritage. He also expressed hope for the consolidation of security and stability in Syria once again, the UAE's readiness to make efforts in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ayman Susan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Nidal Mashfaj, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Syrian Consul General in Dubai Kinan Zahreddine and Dr. Mona Al-Saeed from the Presidency of the Republic.
Minister Al-Khalil discussed yesterday with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, ways to enhance economic cooperation and provide new work plans to create pathways for economic integration and develop exchange in some important sectors in the two countries.
