Even after the medical surveillance is completed, the guidelines also remind employees to avoid accidents. Necessary social contacts and completion of relevant testing requirements, relevant measures will take effect on Wednesday (17th).


Cathay Pacific requires employees at outstations to strictly abide by the quarantine regulations at all times: go directly to and from the aircraft and entry and exit halls, do not patronize duty-free shops or special stores, etc.; take the company-arranged transportation to and from the hotel together; wear face masks during the journey to and from the airport; You must stay in the hotel room to self-isolate during the outstation; you must eat in the hotel room.

Introduce the "Enhanced Medical Surveillance", only allowed to leave home for 2 hours a day

Cathay Pacific internally issued the latest work epidemic prevention guidelines to employees. Applicable persons include crew members who have stayed at other stations (but not in Mainland China) but are exempt from quarantine and only need to be "tested" at the airport.

The new regulations require that the crew members concerned will be provided with "enhanced medical surveillance" on the first to the third day of arrival in Hong Kong. They can only leave home for a maximum of two hours each day for designated activities, including purchasing necessities, engaging in outdoor personal sports, or going out for travel. Doctors, etc., as well as compulsory nasal and throat combined swab tests after arrival; at the same time, they must record their whereabouts by themselves, and avoid group gatherings; additional daily rapid tests are also required during the crew members.

Only if the mixed test result is negative, the "Enhanced Medical Surveillance" can be terminated.



During the medical surveillance period from the 4th to the 7th day of arrival in Hong Kong, the crew must meet the relevant testing requirements.

Cathay Pacific stated that relevant people still need to perform daily quick tests and avoid unnecessary social contact; after completing medical surveillance, that is, from the 8th to the 14th day of arrival in Hong Kong, the staff guidelines remind that the relevant test requirements must be completed according to the instructions .

The staff guidelines also reiterate the relevant regulations that the crew must comply with while staying at the outstations, including direct access to the plane and airport upon departure or arrival, and no detours to duty-free shops, retail stores or similar places; in addition, they need to take the company-arranged transportation directly to and from the airport.
