District - The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is organizing the warmth theme weeks until November 28th and the Starnberg district will be there.
During this period there is a small exhibition in the foyer of the Kreissparkasse in Starnberg (Wittelsbacherstr. 9) as well as in the foyer of the Starnberg District Office with tips on how to turn heat into your own four walls.
Only around 23 percent of the heat in Bavaria was generated using renewable energy sources in 2019. The sources for this are biomass (approx. 73 percent), especially wood, as well as solar thermal, geothermal and environmental heat (approx. 15.5 percent). So there is still great potential for the heating transition in Bavaria, especially since homeowners particularly feel in these weeks, due to the high oil and gas prices, that the postponement of renovation measures and heating renewals is expensive.
“Be ambitious when it comes to saving energy and using climate-friendly supply solutions,” District Administrator Stefan Frey appeals to all citizens.
The district office supports the initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs with smaller information stands and at the same time wants to draw the citizens' attention to the possibilities of sustainable heat generation.
