A lone fat thief stole 13 iPhone 13 Pro Max from the mobile phone shop in Xianda Plaza, Mong Kok. The owner lost 160,000 yuan and released CCTV footage, hoping to catch the culprits as soon as possible.
According to the owner, Mr. Huang, at 2 o'clock this afternoon (15th), customers went to the shop to sell 13 iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB mobile phones for a total of 160,000 yuan.
Since the shop had only 130,000 yuan in cash, he put the phone on the shelf and went to another shop to withdraw the balance. Unexpectedly, a thief with a fat figure openly opened the shop's cabinet door after leaving just 2 minutes. Sweeping away the mobile phone on the shelf in front of him, the crime time was only 20 seconds.
Mr. Huang said that the culprit had a few conversations with customers before entering the shop, and suspected that he tried to make the customers put their guard down and induce them to think that he was a staff member.
According to the CCTV footage, a male customer was standing outside the store waiting for Mr. Huang. At this time, a fat middle-aged man wearing black-rimmed glasses approached with a red rucksack in front of him.
After chatting with the customer, he immediately opened the counter door and walked into the store, believing that he was swiping the mobile phone on the shelf into the backpack with one hand.

The police said that at 2:37 this afternoon, they received a report from the owner of a shop in Xianda Plaza, saying that 13 iPhones were placed at the door. When he came back from the toilet, he found all of them had been stolen.
The case is now classified as theft.
