A British "fallen" shell from the First World War was neutralized today (Monday) in Ganei Tikva, after being exposed in a dangerous condition during excavations at a construction site.
Upon receiving a report from the police, saboteurs were sent from the Tel Aviv district to the place where earthworks were carried out.
Other police officers cordoned off and isolated the area for pedestrian crossings, while other police officers searched for more ammunition falls.
The saboteurs examined the shell, and found an active explosive inside it - and therefore carried out a controlled explosion in the area.
