After the standstill in 2021, pensioners can look forward to an annual increase in salaries until 2035.

The standard pension could increase to over 2000 euros.

Berlin - This year the corona pandemic * brought about a pension increase to around 21 million retirees in Germany.

In the west there was a zero round, in the east only a minus plus of 0.72 percent.

But that should change, the retirees are facing golden years.

In the coming years, pensions * in the west are expected to rise by 5.2 percent, as much as they have been for 38 years.

In the east it could even be plus 5.9 percent.

This is expected to continue in 2023.

A pension increase of 4.9 percent is expected in the west and 5.7 percent in the east.

These are estimates, however, and final clarity will not be available until March 2022.

Golden times are ahead of pensioners: Pension growth of 37 percent by 2035

It shouldn't stay that way. This is based on the as yet unpublished pension insurance report * 2021, which, however, is available to the

dpa

. According to this, an average rate of increase of 2.3 percent is expected by 2035. Overall, according to current calculations, the estimators assume a pension increase of 37 percent by then.

The consideration of a so-called standard pensioner shows what amount is involved.

A standard pensioner is a person who has worked hard for 45 years, receives the average wage of all pensioners every year and pays the full contributions into the pension fund.

The current standard pension, also known as the corner pension, would rise in the west from 1538.55 euros gross to 2107.81 euros, an increase of around 569 euros.

In the new federal states, a standard pensioner could receive 2048.63 euros in 14 years, currently it is 1495.35 euros gross.

Golden times are ahead of pensioners: the federal government supports pension funds with over 100 billion euros

The forecasts make politicians and economists sit up and take notice. The Secretary General of the Economic Council of the CDU, Wolfgang Steiger, told the

picture

: "The announced pension increase of over ten percent in the next two years is downright grotesque." According to the newspaper, Prof. Bernd Raffelhüschen from the University of Freiburg even warns of a ruin of the pension fund .

Even now, the pension fund does not get by with the contributions of the contributors.

For this year, the income of the pension fund is estimated at 341.1 billion euros.

Of this, around 76 percent are contributions and 23 percent are federal grants.

If you add all federal funds, such as for the transfer of GDR supply systems, federal expenditures amounted to around 109 billion euros.

Roughly calculated, the costs for the pension increase in 2022 are estimated at around 17 billion euros.

There are golden times ahead for retirees: traffic light parties are not planning any major reforms

Despite this development, the traffic light parties are not planning any major pension reform. The SPD, Greens and FDP have already agreed in their explorations * that there should be neither pension cuts nor an increase in the statutory retirement age. According to this, the pension level, that is the ratio of pensions to wages, should not fall below 48 percent in the coming years. It is currently 49.4 percent. According to the Pension Insurance Report, the pension level is expected to drop to 49.2 percent by 2025. However, it could drop to 45.7 percent by 2025, according to estimates.

However, according to information from the

picture, there is

a change.

Because of Corona, the upper earnings limit for early retirees should also be up to 46,060 euros in 2022.

Only in 2023 will the old additional income limit of a maximum of 6300 euros annually apply again.
