Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri discussed with his Russian counterparts Sergei Ryabkov and Chinese Magao Su the schedule of the upcoming Vienna nuclear talks, and during the talks the importance of ending the unjust US embargo imposed on Iran was emphasized.
"All forms of the unjust US embargo imposed on Iran must be abolished, which constitutes a violation of the nuclear agreement and Security Council Resolution 2231, and the need to verify it in the context of Iran's economic interests and as a condition for normalizing economic and trade relations," Bagheri was quoted by Fars news agency as saying during the video interview.
Bagheri also referred to the good relations between Iran, Russia and China and the congruence of their positions in various international affairs, which are based on promoting the principle of pluralism in the face of unilateralism.
On the other hand, the Russian and Chinese sides stressed during the talks the need to continue consultation and coordination between the three countries on various issues, describing the US unilateral step as a violation of the nuclear agreement.
Bagheri had confirmed last Friday that lifting the illegal US embargo on Iran is the starting point for the next round of the meeting of the Joint Committee on the Nuclear Agreement in Vienna.
It is noteworthy that Iran called for the necessity of completely and verifiably abolition of the embargo imposed on it and the return of the other parties to their commitments in full as a condition for reaching a "good agreement" on the nuclear file.
