Latin American countries that exceed the global rate of vaccination against covid-19

51.73% of the world's population has received at least one dose of the covid-19 vaccine, according to figures from Our World In Data.

51.73% of the world population has received at least one dose of the vaccine against covid-19, according to figures from Our World In Data.

Vaccination rates differ strongly between world regions and even between Latin American countries.

While some countries are already promoting the application of booster doses, others maintain vaccination rates below the world average.


Here we present the figures from Our World In Data with a cut-off date of November 14 (some countries, such as Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, among others, have figures from previous cut-off dates, according to the data available for the early morning of Monday, November 15):

At the regional level, South America has an average partial vaccination rate of 70.53% and North America of 62.60%.

By way of comparison, Spain has a rate of 81.60%, the United States of 67.38% and South Africa of 27.02%.
