Abstract.

On Thursday, November 14, 1996, Marion Wagon, 10, left her elementary school to go home for lunch.

At 12:30 p.m., she is still not there and her parents are worried.

They send their two eldest children to look for him in the neighborhood, they call the school, without success.

They then alert the police and the search begins.

Investigators establish that Marion disappeared after leaving kindergarten where she regularly went to toboggan before returning home.

They search the houses and cellars of the neighborhood, go door to door, but find no trace of the little girl.

In the months that follow, the investigation looks at potential leads.

The police first suspect a man who works near the school, then a truck driver already convicted of having raped a little girl.

She even receives a report from the West Indies where a little girl claims that she is Marion Wagon, and that she wants to go home.

But one by one, these leads are ruled out for lack of evidence or witnesses.

Since 2004, new elements have put investigators on the trail of serial killer Michel Fourniret.

But today, 25 years later, the investigation is not moving forward, and the enigma remains unresolved.

This episode of Source Code is told by Damien Delseny, head of the police-justice service and Zoé Lauwereys, journalist in the police-justice service.
