In the video: The testimony of former Director General of the Ministry of Communications Avi Berger in the 4000 case (Walla system!) Continues
The Tax and Economics Prosecutor's Office announced today (Monday) to the District Court the completion of investigative actions for Hadas Klein, Arnon Milchen's Assistant Prosecution Committee in the 1000 case. Baruch Kara's publication in News 13. Following the development, the prosecution and the defense proposed to postpone the testimony of state witness Nir Hefetz, which was due to open tomorrow.
Following the information provided by Klein, and with the approval of the Attorney General, supplementary statements were collected from the witness to the police and a number of additional targeted investigative actions were carried out - the most recent of which this morning. The announcement also states that due to the fear of thwarting the investigation or disrupting it, a restraining order was issued regarding the actual conduct of the investigation, and it has not been possible to update their case so far. The investigation materials will be handed over to the defendants as usual and as soon as possible.
The announcement further states that the investigative materials collected as part of the completion of the investigation do not directly relate to Hefetz's testimony, and that the prosecution believes that the testimony itself can be heard as a series.
However, due to the timing of the development, the prosecution has stated that it will not object if the defense asks to cancel the hearings expected this week and start testifying only next Tuesday.
Following this, the defense did request it, and the court is expected to rule.
