Energia, a subsidiary of the Russian Aerospace Enterprise, Roscosmos, has announced that it has received a patent for a multi-use touring vehicle.
According to the Russian TASS Agency, the goal of the new vehicle is to make trips to the borders of space and parachute jump from a high altitude, as the new vehicle will help increase the height of the parachute jump up to 100 km after enabling the athlete to wear a space suit.
The designers of the vehicle explained that its maximum speed upon return to Earth will not exceed one kilometer per second, so the heat pressure on the participants will not be great, and the vehicle will remain in a state of weightlessness for only 3 minutes, allowing tourists to “swim” on chairs and outside the vehicle in case Tie them to it with a rope.
The designers indicated that the vehicle will be driven by changing the position of the fins, so that in the final stage of the flight, the main engine will be started again, so that the vehicle's speed will drop to almost zero before it touches the ground.
