The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Al-Hasakah continues with the work of sifting and sterilizing the wheat seed in order to secure the farmers’ seed needs for the upcoming winter agricultural season.
And the director of the Foundation’s branch, Eng. Ayed Al-Hussein, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the quantity of sterilized seeds to date has reached about 2,100 tons of wheat ready for planting, and about 800 tons of seeds have been sold, pointing out that sifting and sterilization work continues for the remaining quantities of seeds determined according to the plan, which amount to 2,400 tons of seeds Wheat.
Al-Hussein pointed out that the sale of wheat seed to farmers is carried out through an agricultural license and a clearance from the Agricultural Bank branch and a letter from the Directorate of Agriculture in which farmers and farmers pledge to supply their entire production to the grain receiving centers of the branch of the Syrian Grain Corporation in Qamishli.
