The identification of hotspots and possible sources of fire is becoming increasingly important for fighting pandemics.
One starting point that could allow conclusions to be drawn about the sources of infection is the data that has been recorded by the Luca app system over the past few weeks.
And they paint a clear picture.
Because almost three quarters of all warnings from the health authorities that were generated by Luca were sent to visitors to bars and nightclubs.
This is shown by the anonymized evaluation from October.
181,000 warning messages were analyzed.

Almost half of them were in clubs (49.1 percent) and just under a quarter in bars (23.2 percent).

Fewer reports were sent out to restaurant visitors.
They got 19.9 percent of the warnings.
In the case of visitors to events and festivals, it was again nine percent.

The retail trade (1.0 percent), cinemas (1.7 percent), as well as theaters, museums and cultural institutions (together 0.9 percent) hardly played a role.
Sports (0.8 percent) and spas / swimming pools (0.6 percent) also did not turn out to be hotspots.
The use of the Luca app is intended to replace the confusing mess of paper that would threaten with analog data collection.
Contact recording for the fight against corona is mostly mandatory
The recording of contacts is mandatory in most federal states and cannot be done by the federal corona warning app, which records dangerous risk movements anonymously.
In addition to Luca, apps such as eGuest or Vida also offer contact recording.
The Luca app has been criticized by data protectionists primarily because of a concept of central data storage.
In addition, the use in the health authorities is very different, since not all those responsible believe in the effectiveness of the Luca system.
