Drama until the last minute: Hefetz's testimony may start only next week • In light of new information in the 1000 case, which came from Milzen's assistant, Hadas Klein, the defense team asked to postpone the hearing

It is not yet clear whether the testimony of the Netanyahu family's confidant, Nir Hefetz, will open this morning (Tuesday), after the defense asked to postpone the hearing.

The court ruled that the request would be heard at the beginning of the hearing, which will currently take place as planned.

This development began with the State Attorney's Office's announcement yesterday afternoon that in recent days it had carried out covert investigative actions - the last of which was on that very day.

This is after the prosecution witness in the 1000 case, Hadas Klein - Arnon Milchen's personal assistant - provided relevant information on her own initiative that was not known to the prosecution before.

This is an exceptional event, in which an investigation is completed after the trial has already begun, and all this with the approval of the Attorney General.

The prosecution noted that the completion of the investigation does not directly relate to Hefetz's testimony, which they believe may sound like a series, but given the timing of the transfer of materials derived from the investigation's schedule - the prosecution will not object to canceling the two scheduled hearings this week.

The prosecution further stated that it could not update on the investigative actions for fear of thwarting or disrupting them, and that a restraining order had been issued on the very conduct of investigative actions.

The former prime minister and the defendant in the case, Benjamin Netanyahu, did not submit, as of this writing, a request to exempt him from attending the hearing as he did with the other witnesses in the case.

Therefore, it is currently expected to reach a hearing.

Milchen,

Hefetz's testimony is important to the prosecution, which expects it to show awareness of bribery to substantiate the main charge in the case.

The defense is expected to try to show inconsistencies in his testimony and the details he will give or has already given in the interrogation, undermining his credibility and claiming that he was broken due to the unreasonable pressure exerted on him - or other motives led him to give the prosecution whatever he wants to hear.

The defense is also expected to raise the issue of "legal pollution" through interviews and messages it has previously given to the media.

Hefetz complained at the time that he had been pressured by the police, among other things by preventing hours of sleep, sleeping on a bed full of bedbugs and other questionable and questionable exercises that had been banned from publication.

Hefetz's involvement in the cases began in February 2018 when he was arrested and questioned as part of the 4000 case on suspicion of taking bribes.

After two weeks, he signed a state witness agreement and provided an on-key disk and cell phones with a lot of information about the Netanyahu couple's conduct.
