A patrol crew from the Fürth police station * noticed an e-scooter driver in Erlanger Strasse at around 9.45 p.m. because the vehicle used had no insurance number.
During the subsequent control, the officers seized a bag with an initially unknown substance, as the Police Headquarters Middle Franconia * reported.

The man then fled on foot across the street towards the center.
The officers persecuted and caught up with him.
When they tried to arrest the 41-year-old, he tried to resist by force, biting an officer in the thigh.
The police could only use physical force to bring the man to the ground.
They then handcuffed him.
The officer sustained a bite wound on his thigh and several abrasions.
But he was able to continue his service.
The 41-year-old was slightly injured during arrest.
He is now being held accountable, among other things, for suspected assault on police officers and for violations of the Narcotics Act and the Compulsory Insurance Act.
