Wolfratshausen - As part of its annual general meeting, the Alzheimer Society Isar-Loisachtal confirmed the board of directors.
At its annual general meeting, the Alzheimer Gesellschaft Isar-Loisachtal unanimously confirmed the first chairman Dieter Buyer, second chairman Sylvia Kardell, treasurer Gerlinde Berchtold and secretary Gabriele Strauhal in their offices.
Despite the corona-related restrictions, the association, which has around 40 members, remains active.
"After almost 90 voluntary consultations, there are also enough plans and visions for the new year," announced Secretary Gabriele Strauhal.
In addition to advice, training and workshops for caring relatives, volunteers and interested parties, this also includes cultural offers.
A continuation of the “Dementia-sensitive municipality” project is also planned.
For example, the police, fire brigade and city administration employees can take advantage of training courses in dealing with dementia patients.
Anyone who would like to find out more about pending questions in an uncomplicated manner from home can watch advisory films on the homepage www.ag-il.de soon.
The documentary strips are produced in cooperation with the Bad Tölz District Office and the Katholisches Bildungswerk.
In addition, from January there will again be helper training courses to relieve relatives of people with dementia in everyday life.
The need is undoubtedly there: there are currently around 2,700 people with dementia living in the district - and the trend is rising.
