Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that Britain bears historical responsibility for the endless flows of refugees and has no right to blame Russia for the migration crisis at the Belarusian-Polish border.
Sputnik quoted Zakharova as saying today in the Telegram that the British invasion of Iraq was carefully planned and that about 45,000 British soldiers helped the United States occupy this country, kill its citizens and plunder its wealth.
She added that Britain bears a clear historical responsibility for everything that has happened since that moment in the region, including the death of Iraqis, the destruction of the Iraqi state, the endless flows of refugees, the emergence of the “ISIS” organization, and the humanitarian disasters in this part of the world.
Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia is not involved in the migration crisis, noting that Russian airlines do not transport refugees, expressing his hope to establish direct contact between Minsk and the European Union and, above all, with the Federal Republic of Germany, because migrants tend to go to over there.
