The 42-year-old from Neufinsing had to sing a pop song as a metal version - and in the end she was beaten by her competitor.
The TV show was broadcast on Sat.1 on Sunday evening.
In Mark Forster's team, Göghova first had to prove himself in a group of three with Alex Kerski and Babsi Pak.
All three are metal-rock singers, and Forster had chosen “Umbrella” for them - originally a pop song by Rihanna, but this time in a rock version by Vanilla Sky.
All three singers were not exactly enthusiastic about this choice.
“I had a lot of great titles on my wish list for this round, a lot in the harder direction, but also ballads and heavy metal songs with opera singing,” Göghova told our newspaper after her departure and admits: “, Umbrella 'I would never have chosen it myself, that's absolutely not my taste. "
Nevertheless, the 42-year-old prevailed in the coaching and was finally on stage with Kerski - in skin-tight leggings, in a corset in red and black, with blood-red lips. “This outfit and the show itself for the song were authentic at the performance, I like to wear such outfits on stage. Unfortunately, the song wasn't authentic for me, ”says Göghova. “I didn't feel comfortable with it, the title just didn't suit me. And I didn't have the feeling that I could show my strengths with the song, ”she regrets.
The coaches found words of praise, but they all seemed to have their problems with the metal genre. Mark Forster said: “There are two artists who are on stage. I'm a big fan of both of you. ”Addressing Göghova, he said:“ You are interesting and special, you love and live music, you were 150 percent at the start at every rehearsal. And I love that with artists. ”In the end, however, it wasn't enough for the 42-year-old, and the coach decided on her competitor.
"I was really disappointed, I wanted to survive at least one more round, but that's what all the singers who take part there want, and not all of them can get ahead," admits the singer, who works full-time at the Haar Adult Education Center as head of the German and Integration works. “Failure was terrible for me. I actually cried for a round after I was eliminated. I'm a bad loser, but I stand by it. "
However, Göghova is not discouraged by this.
“I will definitely continue with my two bands Still Awake and Passion Control, and I keep writing my own songs.
