An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck this morning the city of Fin in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University as saying that "the tremor occurred 22 km from the city of Fin, north of Bandar Abbas, the center of Hormozgan Province, at a depth of 19 km from the surface of the earth."
There were no reports of casualties or material losses as a result of this tremor.
One person was killed and two others were injured in an earthquake that struck the same province the day before yesterday, with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale.
