A bear, weighing about 35 kg, was spotted and rescued last night in a street in Gorizia, at the back of the Castle near the border with Slovenia.
The baby bear was spotted by some passers-by as he was climbing a tree, perhaps in search of shelter from traffic.
The firefighters of the provincial command arrived on the spot and reached the young specimen, brought him down safely and entrusted him to the staff of the Forestry.
According to experts, the puppy in the city suggests that the mother is wandering not far away and therefore the authorities are paying attention to the possible presence of the adult specimen.
