Because of the rapidly increasing corona cases in Hamburg, unvaccinated people are no longer allowed to enter restaurants, bars and clubs from Saturday. The red-green Senate canceled the 3G model for several areas on Tuesday and instead made the 2G model mandatory. With the 2G model, only vaccinated and convalescent people may be admitted, with the 3G model also unvaccinated, provided they present a negative corona test.

The so-called overload level could take effect in Free State from Friday.

Vaccinated, convalescent or children up to the age of 16 do not count.

The 2G regulation then applies to restaurants (indoor areas), clubs, as well as to indoor events and all major events.

The overload level is linked to the bed occupancy in the hospitals.

If over 1,300 Covid-19 patients are treated in a hospital for three days in a row, the overload level comes into effect on the day after the next.

The number was 1,391 on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports another record incidence.

The 7-day incidence on Tuesday morning is 312.4 (previous day: 303.0; previous week: 213.7).

The values ​​are highest in Saxony (759.3), Thuringia (546.1) and Bavaria (554.2) (see table below).

There are also eight regional hotspots with incidences above the 1000 mark.

Corona: the number of deaths is increasing sharply

In the past 24 hours, another 32,048 new corona infections were recorded (previous week: 21,832).

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - the RKI stated on Monday as 4.65.

With the indicator it must be taken into account that hospital admissions are sometimes reported with delay.

A nationwide threshold, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
