"The militarization against the 15N protests is not sustainable," says Rosa María Payá, coordinator of Cuba Decide, who also denounced on CNN that they were prevented from entering the island to demonstrate and that some activists in Cuba
"remained under house arrest for the secret police ".
The CNN team in Havana drove through the city on Monday, reporting on the heavy police presence and that there were no protests during the day.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla referred to the protests in a live broadcast on state media, calling them "artificial expectations" and saying that there are "attempts to create an artificial image" of the island.
