Engineer Arnous: Breakthroughs in the issue of oil derivatives during the coming period

On the 51st anniversary of the glorious corrective movement led by the founding leader Hafez al-Assad, the Council of Ministers affirmed that it laid the foundations of the strong modern state and changed the face of political, economic and social life in Syria and achieved important achievements in various fields that had an important role in the steadfastness and victory of Syria, which is going today to take its position again on the regional and international arenas.

The Chairman of the Council, Engineer Hussein Arnous, pointed out during his presidency of the weekly session of the Council that there are breakthroughs in the issue of oil derivatives during the coming period, and work is continuing to secure the local needs as much as possible of domestic gas, heating oil and gasoline.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of the electronic payment program and the completion of its requirements according to a specific time and implementation program and the continued focus on popular markets and their increase and the promotion and improvement of local administration investments. Which is considered supportive of the local product with the development of a mechanism for calculating these exemptions by calculating the costs.

In addition, the Council reviewed the memorandum of the Ministry of Agriculture on the measures taken to address the effects of forest fires during the past two years and the compensation granted to those affected, where the first batch amounting to 50 percent of the total amounts to be distributed was delivered, and the distribution of the second batch amounting to 25 percent began at the beginning of this month, while the number of plants distributed for free The affected farmers had 242,961 olive trees, 22,313 citrus trees, and 62,343 plants of various other types.

The Council of Ministers directed public authorities of an economic nature to supply the balance of the actual economic surpluses for the year 2020 and before, estimated for the year 2021, to the Public Debt Fund in order to enable it to finance investment projects for which funds are allocated in the state’s general budget to the fullest.

The council agreed to complete the implementation of the rehabilitation project of the Judicial Palace building in Homs, to grant a financial advance to the General Organization for Insurance and Pensions to disburse pensions to civilian and military retirees for the month of January next year, and to grant an advance to the General Organization for Sugar to pay the value of sugar beet seeds.
