Express of Nonsense: Guy Hochman's Cheap Provocation Israel today

2021-11-16T06:27:18.434Z

The comedian, who promised his followers that he would fly to Turkey to shoot a video outside the Forbidden Palace, is interviewed in the studio as if he were Borat or Ali G, when in practice no criticism or satire is there but only a pathetic effort to squeeze as many likes as possible

We have not yet resolved the issue of the bizarre arrest of the Oknin couple, who have been imprisoned in Turkey for a week on espionage only for photographing President Erdogan's palace, and here Guy Hochman is already cooking up for us the next diplomatic incident.

This morning, the provocative comedian promised, he intends to land in Istanbul to shoot an Instagram video outside the secret palace that should not be filmed.

The reason: Hochman squeezed more than 40,000 likes for a post that promised that if he passed the 30k, he would do the above stupid act.

"As soon as this story exploded, I was told: 'You have to go there to take pictures, you have to go and do your part,'" he explained in an interview with Oren Weigenfeld yesterday.

Your piece?

"Say, to provoke," he said, though in fact Hochman's part is to ride a sensitive and complicated incident just to increase exposure and traffic.

"I did not want to fly, I'm afraid of murder," he defended himself against the lack of authenticity.

"There's nothing logical about that. But what to do - I pledged to the audience and followers."

And what if the Turks, say, do not connect to his sarcastic style in front of the cameras?

"Even in Dubai they did not like my humor," he replied, while Weigenfeld inadvertently added "there you were arrested," and Hochman did not correct.

Because in fact, Hochman was not actually arrested last year in Dubai, but was only detained at a local mall by police because he took pictures there without permits.

But why spoil a good and sweeping story like some real facts?

Almost as in 2017, he created a video for Network 13 that examined the reaction of Bnei Brak residents to the Israeli flag, and in the end an ultra-Orthodox kidnapped and broke Hochman's flag.

Pretty soon it was revealed that he had actually fabricated the whole incident, and was immediately fired.

Since then he has taken his humor to social media.

This humor consists mostly of insulting people in front of a camera, sweeping style of likes and shares.

At every opportunity Hochman admits that he dreams of snatching a box in the face, it is clear to everyone that such a viral video will provide him with an amount of likes that can not be obtained even in India and Indonesia.

So, when Weigenfeld pressed and asked "How are you going to prepare? What are you going to photograph when you get there (to Erdogan's palace)?", The network anchor did not yet have a solid idea on paper.

Hochman seems convinced that he is at least Borat or Ali G, but he is nothing more than a cheap provocateur who craves attention;

I mean, as many likes as possible.

Sometimes the difference between courage and stupidity can be blurred and even deceptive.

Most of the content that came out of Hochman's hands did not contain subversive statements that were hidden behind the lottery.

Sasha Baron Cohen makes a real satire, while producing cranky and unconventional interactions with people from different cultures.

Borat's excessive bullying is based on deep thought and advance preparation, so the messages that come out of it can resonate in viewers' minds even weeks later.

On the other hand, Hochman did not really fly to the center of the crisis to examine cultural differences between Turkey and Israel, he would not reveal injustices nor hidden anti-Semitism.

In the convenient case it will end in punches on the locomotive fragrance, hair transplant treatments and Haim Revivo.

In the most ideal case for Hochman, he will be arrested outside Erdogan's palace and this video will break all the existing likes records on the network.

He will later be able to leverage his release from detention for more TV interviews.

Come on, like.
