The teacher was suspended on a conservatory basis on November 9 by the rectorate of the Academy of Amiens, after having warned her hierarchy and then voluntarily removed her mask the day before in front of her students.
"
Seeing masked adults all day is incompatible with learning,
" she explained in a video addressed to her students, saying that "
it is in the duration that it is catastrophic.
""
We are more than two years away: it will last, and at some point, we have to find an arrangement to teach without a mask,
"she told AFP, stressing that we can"

"My face is my working tool"
“
What I want people to recognize is that the teaching profession is a communication profession. My face is my working tool
", explains Anne-Claire Rossignol who says she receives the support of teachers and parents of students and emphasizes that she is not"
at all anti-mask, and especially not anti-vaccine
" . “
I put on my mask in the hallways, between the rows of tables in the room. I only remove my mask away from the students, in a ventilated room, doors and windows open,
”she explains.

" according to her, Anne-Claire Rossignol has decided to maintain her demands and remains suspended.
"
This is not a disciplinary sanction
," said the rectorate, specifying that she nevertheless exposes herself to it for non-compliance with her professional obligations.
