Zhong Tingyao said that the Democratic Research Institute will still conduct 3 random telephone surveys and 4 online surveys respectively. Among them, they will ask about their knowledge of the election, their intention to vote, and which candidate they support.
He stated that the options for the survey include white votes. If some voters say they will vote in white when interviewed, the polls will truthfully record them, emphasizing that "this is not a red line."

Since 1995, the civil research projects have conducted rolling surveys on the Legislative Council elections, tracking voters' voting intentions and the support of candidates in various districts.
However, Zhong Tingyao announced yesterday (15th) that due to resource factors and no think tanks and media organizations have indicated their intention to cooperate with the public research institute for the time being, the decision to suspend rolling public opinion surveys is the first in 26 years.
Zhong Tingyao said that the Democratic Research Institute will still conduct 3 random telephone surveys and 4 online surveys on the election. The results of the telephone surveys will be released on the 23rd of this month, 3rd and 17th of next month.
He pointed out that when it comes to the question of voters’ voting intentions, the options will include white votes. If some voters say they will vote in white when interviewed, the polls will truthfully record, emphasizing that "this is not a red line", "(respondent) Don’t go to vote, cast blank votes, and have a favorite voter, we will record the loss.”
