Hama-Sana
The branch of the General Company for Building and Development in Hama announced the readiness of the sewage treatment plant in the Masyaf region for operation and actual investment after the completion of the project.
The director of the company's branch, Fadi Hajjo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the project is one of the most important vital projects that contribute to water purification to the borders.
Environmentally permissible for the safe use of water suitable for forest irrigation and the disposal of the remaining materials in a safe manner, pointing out that the plant was designed to treat sewage with a flow equivalent to 6000 cubic meters per day.
Hajjo pointed out that the station is located on an area of 42 dunums and includes administrative buildings, aeration basins, two secondary sedimentation basins with a condensation basin, eight basins for drying the sludge, in addition to a basin for chlorination and another for collection, explaining that the station is equipped with a special press for the sludge resulting from the treatment works, which serves as an organic fertilizer used in fertilization agricultural soil.
Hajjo explained that the plant relies on the method of treating activated sludge and extended aeration to treat sewage.
