Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will take part in a special special, which will air on the HBO Max streaming service, which will mark two decades for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" Jay. K.. Rowling, on whose library the successful film series was based

Twenty years after the release of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", the film's stars - including of course lead actors Daniel Radcliffe (who played Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) - will reunite to mark the occasion, In a special special that will be broadcast on January 1 on the streaming service HBO Max, which is not available in Israel.

The three actors will be joined by Chris Columbus, who directed the first two films in the series, and several other notable actors who starred in "Harry Potter" films, including Helena Bonham Carter (who played Bellatrix for Strange), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Imelda Stonton (Dolores Embridge), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) - and of course Rife Fiennes (Voldemort).

On the other hand, whoever does not attend the gala event (but does appear in archive footage) is none other than Jay.

K..

Rowling, the author of the successful book series on which the films were based.

This, apparently after she posted last year a tweet on her Twitter account for an opinion piece titled "Creating a More Equitable World in the Post-Corona Days for Men Experiencing Menstruation".

The author treated the headline with contempt, adding in a tweet: "I'm sure there is a word for such people, that someone will help me," this in addition to a few words fluttering to the word "women" in English.

The tweet sparked outrage among the LGBT community, which attacked Rowling's remarks. Radcliffe also joined protesters against the writer, saying "transgender women are women.

"Any statement that tries to claim otherwise erases the identity and respect of trans people and goes against all the advice from professionals who have much more knowledge and expertise than mine or Joe (a nickname for Rowling) has."

Not everyone in the picture will participate in the happy reunion.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was released in the United States on November 16, 2001, and since its release has grossed just over a billion dollars worldwide.

It was followed by seven more films, and together with "The Wise Stone", all seven grossed more than $ 7.7 billion.

With the end of the films, two more films have been released that take place in Potter's world, and that are a kind of introduction to his stories: "Wonder Beasts and Where to Find Them" from 2016 and "Wonder Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald", which came out two years later.
