Across all age groups, the LGL reported a value of 530.4 on Monday - the slight deviation from the incidence of 525.7 reported by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is explained by different reference times.

Munich - Bavaria's emergency doctors have called for more courageous measures in the fight against the fourth corona wave in an appeal to state politics.

In their catalog of demands, the emergency physicians advocate compulsory vaccination for medical staff, faster “booster” vaccinations and a revocation of the vaccinated status nine months after the last vaccination.

Unvaccinated people would have to be subject to contact restrictions, it said.

At the same time, the attractiveness of the care professions must be increased.

There is also an urgent need for a larger-scale awareness-raising campaign to clear up the circulating fake news about the alleged dangers of the approved vaccines.

"We can certainly win over at least some of the citizens unsettled by permanent fake news in this way for a vaccination", can be seen in the open letter that the board of the Association of Emergency Doctors in Bavaria (agbn) on Monday (November 15th) ) addressed to Prime Minister Markus Söder, Minister of Health Klaus Holetschek and Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann (all CSU).

They described the situation in the hospitals as a "dramatic development"; many clinics could no longer provide full care for acute emergencies.

“You will have our full support, especially for the unpopular steps that must now be implemented urgently,” wrote the doctors.

The working group represents 3000 emergency doctors working in Bavaria.
