A large delegation, therefore, came "to re-establish links, to project themselves, in a pre-campaign atmosphere", according to a government adviser. Overseas Minister Sébastien Lecornu will also stop on site. The pro-Macron “local committees”, of which he coordinates the network, were also invited to this great rally.
The evening looks very much like a general mobilization meeting… The date should in any case not be by chance. It takes place at the same time as the congress of mayors of France, Porte de Versailles, in Paris. An event from November 16 to 18 which brings together thousands of local elected officials and which will be punctuated, Thursday, by a speech by Emmanuel Macron. Convenient for bringing troops together, on the sidelines of the congress… At the same time, at the level of the party headquarters, the maneuvers are accelerating behind the scenes to unite the forces that make up the majority.
Wednesday evening, a dinner at the Hôtel de Lassay is organized by the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand, to achieve progress on the constitution of a "common house", bringing together all the components of the majority (Agir, Horizon, MoDem, LREM…).
Several majority leaders are expected, including Édouard Philippe and Stanislas Guerini.
