Up to seven planners should think about the future of the Ruf site in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn.

Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn - Several architectural offices are to provide the community of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn with ideas on how to plan and build on the former Ruf company premises on Bahnhofstrasse in the most sensible way.

The local council has now authorized Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) to entrust up to seven planners with developing concepts for the centrally located area as part of a so-called multiple commission.

Each participating office receives a fee for this.

As the renovation architect Claudia Schreiber, who supports the community as part of the urban development project, explained in the council meeting, a fee of between 10,000 and 20,000 euros per participant is realistic.

In order to be able to finance the selection process, 150,000 euros should therefore be entered in the budget for the coming year.

A jury made up of local council members should work out the precise task definition before the architects are commissioned and later also assess the submitted contributions.

Renovation in full swing

As reported, the renovation of the old pharmacy, which is also located on the Ruf premises, is in full swing.

The work should be completed in early summer 2022.

In contrast, the planning for the rest of the area has been on hold for years.

Now we want to finally make progress on this topic too.

In addition to the former administration building of the Ruf company, the site also houses the former canteen, which now houses the small department store, as well as a porter's house that is to be demolished in the foreseeable future. By 2015 there was already a steering committee which, with the participation of the citizens, worked out and defined rough goals for a possible new use. A meeting center for everyone is to be created on the site, which could include course rooms for the adult education center, club rooms and the small department store. Mayor Konwitschny reminded that the public participation in the Ruf site was years ago. The starting position has changed in part. The Zwergerlstube, which was once also supposed to be located in the meeting center, will now find its place in the old pharmacy.

"Are not a super-rich community"

But before the citizens are involved in the planning again, it makes sense, from their point of view, to have the architects present suggestions for the site.

Peter Guggenberger (CSU) asked for the former steering committee and the community's working groups to be included in the preparation of the task for the planners.

Dorothee Stoewahse (Greens) did not want to spend too much money on multiple assignments, "after all, we are not a super-rich community".

Konwitschny and Otto Bußjäger (UB) again warned against saving when commissioning the planners.

This is how Katharina Prorok (CSU) saw it, emphasizing the importance of the site: “This is a piece of jewelery.

We should be prepared to put money into our hands for that. ”There is still one catch: as Konwitschny informed the local council, the administration had already asked several architects in advance whether they were interested in an assignment.

So far, however, only one planning office has shown interest in the project.
