Strict rules and honors

The Gauting horticultural association has rescheduled its annual meetings - and paid close attention to 2G and distance.

- "May I see the vaccination certificate, please?" Monika Klodt, Vice President of the Gauting Horticultural Association, asks everyone who wanted to attend the annual general meeting without exception - and he also had to wear an FFP2 mask.

The strict hygiene concept was implemented consistently, for example by means of widely spaced tables in the Walter-Hildmann-Haus.

There the association was able to meet in an alternative quarter: "We are very grateful for that, because an association naturally also lives from being able to offer its program," emphasized chairwoman Manuela Kleinknecht.

Due to the corona, only 23 attendees at the repeated annual meeting for 2020 saw the overview of the events, all of which were held outdoors - including a course on shrub pruning or the botanical nature rally with children as part of the holiday program.

"Now I have a very nice job, namely honoring long-term members of the association," says chairwoman Manuela Kleinknecht happily after further regulations.

Gerhard Nafziger, Auguste Käser and Lieselotte Göttler have been members of the association for 40 years.

After all, Dieter Appel, Waltraud Klüpfel, Marie and Karl Möhlmann and Manfred Schindler have been members for 30 years.

Gautingers, who have undergone the demanding natural garden certification of the district association for gardening and landscape maintenance, are also honored: Bernd Zeytz as well as Caren Lesser and Roland Kirschner in absentia.

Finally, Gabriele Riffert showed photographic impressions from landscape gardens and parks in southern England.

Over coffee and cake there was still the opportunity to exchange ideas.
