Furth im Wald - At the weekend a walker made a terrible find.

He came across the corpse of a previously unknown male person in a wooded area near Furth im Wald in the Cham district.

Anyone who can help identify the dead person is asked to report to the police.

So far, there have been no indications of a criminal offense, according to a message from the Upper Palatinate police headquarters. 

Furth im Wald: Police give personal description 

The person can be described as follows: male - age approx. 65-70 years - 182 cm tall - 75 kg - gray, thinning hair, with a length of 2-7 cm - bald head - three-day beard - no teeth - the upper limb is missing on the middle finger of the left hand (no recent injury) - smoker (brand Camel) - the man was dressed in a black leather jacket with the inscription "Cutterwear", a black, short-sleeved T-shirt from the brand "Adidas" (white Applications in the shoulder area), black jogging pants from the brand “ALM-Sport” with the label “Fitness” in size L, gray “Crocs” from the brand Xisuxin in size 43 and colorful socks. 

An autopsy will take place on Tuesday (November 16) to clarify the cause of death.

So far there are no indications of a criminal offense or third-party negligence.

According to the current situation, the police also did not confirm rumors regarding a “reference to organized crime”. 

In order to clarify the man's identity, the Regensburg criminal police asked the population for their help.

Anyone who can provide information is asked to contact the Regensburg Criminal Police Office at 0941 / 506-2888.
