At least two people were killed in a double bombing that took place today in the center of the Ugandan capital Kampala.
Ugandan state television, NTV Uganda, stated that two explosions occurred, one in an area very close to the parliament buildings and the other near the main police station in the center of the capital, killing at least two people and wounding dozens, in addition to setting fire to a number of cars.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
Ugandan soldiers are fighting against Al-Shabab militants linked to the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in Somalia as part of the African Union peacekeeping force there, and the movement has carried out several terrorist bombings in Uganda.
