Kempten - The works committee had to decide whether the weekly market should move to the market hall during the winter months.
According to Martina Dufner, managing director of KMV's own company, a survey among the dealers did not reveal a uniform picture of the mood.
Due to the pandemic, the market on Hildegardplatz should be preferred, said Dufner.
At and in the market hall there is not enough space for all traders, according to FW City Councilor Klaus Knoll.
"Playing" both places is too expensive, as the costs and effort involved are doubled, for example for clearing snow and closing roads.
Greengrocers also had different opinions, said Knoll on the subject of goods that are sensitive to frost.
“It works in other cities too,” he says.
The committee voted with two votes against to leave the weekly market on Hildegardplatz.
