Sources at the scene stated that the West Kowloon Magistracy has a court registry, and more members of the public come and go.

A staff member working on the 3rd floor said that his colleagues found suspicious powder letters on the 3rd floor. About 30 people were evacuated to the ground floor and they were allowed to leave after registering their ID cards and phone numbers with the police.

The source stated that the recipient of the suspicious powder letter was a judge.

The Judiciary announced that in response to emergencies, the West Kowloon Magistracy's Registry and Accounting Department, and the Sha Tin Magistracy's Registry, Accounting Department and Bailiff's Office have been temporarily closed until further notice.

The court hearings and other court services of the two courts will not be affected.
