Born in 1964 in Wuhan, a city now famous around the world, he won with his
Mask Series 1996 No. 6
, sold for $ 7.5 million in Hong Kong, at the inauguration of Christie's in Hong Kong in 2008.

I first created the painting in 2017 when I participated in a special project at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
It is a continuation of one of my most important series called
Abstract Landscape
.
I then built an avatar of Vincent Van Gogh in the background, then I dissolved it into lines.
The whole process is part of my visual observations, in my daily practice.
