In the ZDF cult series, presenter Rudi Cerne experienced unusual moments on Wednesday evening.

After a breakdown, the show could not go on as usual.

Munich - On Wednesday evening, presenter Rudi Cerne welcomed ZDF viewers to a new edition of the true crime series "Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolös", which has now become cult.

But in this issue, a lot of things did not go as we are used to from the show.

Bitter TV glitch with "Aktenzeichen XY" - Cerne stays cool

Initially, Cerne and his team started the show as usual with the first criminal cases.

But after just 45 minutes, the moderator explains: "We currently have a problem with our telephone system here in the studio".

You are currently "unavailable" via the traditional telephone number.

But: "The technical colleagues are working flat out to ensure that this can be remedied in the course of the program," he hopes.

This mishap is of course fatal for the show concept.

After all, the program lives from the fact that after and during the short clips in which criminal offenses are re-enacted, calls with new clues are received in the studio.

That is why a number of people are positioned on the telephones behind moderator Cerne.

But they had very little to do on Wednesday.

In the middle of the program, Cerne pointed out that viewers should call the appropriate police station or even any police station with their information.

"And as soon as the phones are on again - at the moment they're dead - we'll let you know."

Unfortunately, however, the hope was not heard.

At the end of the broadcast, Cerne asked again in the direction of his telephone team: "Telephones are still dead?" The answer was clear: Yes, still dead ".

Thus, the final round of the show could not take place as usual.

The new information that the police received from the broadcast is presented again here.

Instead, however, the expert Alfred Hettmer from the LKA Munich declares “There is no end in sight to the problem.

Therefore we ask the spectators to call the responsible police stations ”.

After all: Hettmer himself apparently had the opportunity to make calls despite the breakdown.

And so he had scoured the appropriate police stations and was able to report some new clues.

"Thank you for this conclusion - even today under difficult conditions", Cerne concluded the program.
